Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Recruiter with a strong Human Resources focus to join our team in Fresno, CA. In this office-based role, you will be instrumental in attracting, screening, and hiring top-tier nursing talent to meet the growing demands of our healthcare facilities. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the nursing profession, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strategic approach to recruitment, all while ensuring compliance with HR policies and best practices. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from initial sourcing to offer negotiation, contributing significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for various nursing positions, including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and specialized nursing roles.
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to identify qualified candidates through various channels (job boards, social media, professional networks, career fairs).
  • Conduct thorough phone screens and interviews to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide guidance on recruitment best practices.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with federal and state employment laws, as well as Kaiser Permanente's HR policies.
  • Manage candidate relationships, providing a positive and engaging experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Negotiate offers and facilitate the onboarding process in coordination with HR and departmental teams.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Participate in workforce planning and talent acquisition strategy development.
  • Represent Kaiser Permanente at nursing career events and professional conferences.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Nurse Recruiter or similar HR/Recruitment role within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of nursing roles, specializations, and healthcare terminology.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of HR principles, employment law, and recruitment best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience recruiting for a large, complex healthcare organization.
  • Certification in recruitment (e.g., CIR, CDR) or human resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
  • Familiarity with the Fresno healthcare market and local talent pool.
