Job Description

Are you a highly motivated individual with a passion for helping others and a strong desire to build a career in financial services? Consolidated Credit is seeking an enthusiastic Debt Settlement Negotiator (Trainee) to join our growing team in Allentown, PA. This entry-level position offers a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to become a successful debt settlement professional. You will learn to work directly with creditors to negotiate favorable repayment terms for our clients, helping them resolve overwhelming debt. This role features a competitive base salary combined with uncapped commission potential, rewarding your dedication and success in helping clients achieve financial stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Successfully complete our in-depth training program on debt settlement processes, negotiation strategies, and compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their financial situations and develop tailored debt resolution plans.
  • Engage with creditors and collection agencies to negotiate reductions in principal balances, interest rates, and fees.
  • Prepare and present settlement offers to clients, explaining terms and ensuring their understanding and agreement.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all client interactions and negotiation progress in our CRM system.
  • Adhere to all company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards throughout the negotiation process.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to continuously improve negotiation outcomes and client satisfaction.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an empathetic and client-focused approach.
  • Aptitude for negotiation and problem-solving.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and general computer navigation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or any role requiring strong communication.
  • Basic understanding of personal finance or debt management concepts.
  • Bilingual abilities (Spanish/English) are a plus.
