Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Spare Parts Tagger with a strong mechanical aptitude to join our remote team. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in enhancing the accuracy and intelligence of our spare parts inventory by meticulously tagging and categorizing mechanical components. Your work will directly feed into our AI-driven systems, improving predictive maintenance, supply chain efficiency, and overall operational excellence. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a global leader from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately tag and categorize a wide range of mechanical spare parts based on established criteria and specifications.
  • Utilize internal systems and tools to input detailed part information, including dimensions, materials, manufacturers, and compatibility.
  • Analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and product specifications to ensure precise data entry.
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and AI development teams to refine tagging methodologies and data standards.
  • Identify discrepancies or missing information and proactively seek clarification or additional data.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data quality and AI-driven inventory management systems.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tagging activities.

Required Skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial components and machinery.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using data entry systems and office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation such as blueprints and part diagrams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Basic understanding of data structures or a keen interest in learning about AI/ML applications in supply chain.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering).
  • Previous experience with Product Information Management (PIM) or Master Data Management (MDM) systems.
  • Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
  • Prior experience in spare parts management, inventory control, or a related field.
  • Experience working with or contributing to AI/Machine Learning data sets.
