Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Station Assistant with a regional travel focus to join our FedEx Express team in Nampa, Idaho. In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our express delivery services. Your primary responsibilities will involve supporting daily station activities, managing administrative tasks, and providing crucial on-site assistance at various FedEx Express locations within the designated region as needed. This position is perfect for an organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with frequent regional travel, offering critical support to maintain our high standards of service and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support to station management and staff.
- Assist with package sorting, loading, and unloading processes as required.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment at the station.
- Prepare and process shipping documents, reports, and other critical paperwork.
- Coordinate with dispatch and delivery teams to ensure timely and efficient operations.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate complex problems to appropriate personnel.
- Travel regionally to different FedEx Express stations to provide on-site support, training, or coverage during peak times or staff shortages.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and federal regulations.
- Assist in training new team members on operational procedures and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 lbs regularly.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to travel regionally as required, sometimes on short notice.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a logistics, warehouse, or express delivery environment.
- Familiarity with FedEx operational systems and procedures.
- Experience with scheduling and resource allocation.
