Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Live-in Nanny to join a wonderful family in Berkeley, California. This is an incredible opportunity for a professional nanny looking for a long-term position with a family that values commitment, warmth, and excellent childcare. As a live-in nanny, you will become an integral part of the family’s daily life, providing comprehensive care and support for their children. We understand that relocation can be a significant step, and for the right candidate, relocation assistance will be provided to ensure a smooth transition to the beautiful Bay Area.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, loving, and stimulating care for children of varying ages.
- Manage daily routines including meals, naps, educational activities, and playtime.
- Organize engaging and age-appropriate developmental activities, both indoors and outdoors.
- Assist with homework and school projects, fostering a love for learning.
- Prepare healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
- Maintain children's areas, including tidying rooms, organizing toys, and doing children's laundry.
- Transport children to and from school, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
- Communicate regularly and openly with parents regarding children's progress and needs.
- Handle occasional overnight care and travel with the family as required.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the children.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years professional live-in or full-time nanny experience with verifiable references.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, organized, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to create a nurturing, educational, and fun environment for children.
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience with multiple children, including infants and toddlers.
- Knowledge of child development stages and age-appropriate activities.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and family needs.
- Strong cooking skills, particularly for children's meals.
