Job Description
Are you an early riser looking for a consistent, morning-only shift that leaves your afternoons completely free? IHOP in Akron, OH, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our breakfast crew! This entry-level position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys providing excellent service with a smile. You’ll be a vital part of our team, ensuring our guests start their day with a fantastic breakfast experience. No prior experience is required – we’re looking for individuals with a great attitude and a willingness to learn!
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items according to IHOP's quality standards and recipes.
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing batter, and stocking ingredients.
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are strictly followed.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and workstation.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment as needed.
- Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies.
- Collaborate effectively with other crew members to ensure smooth service.
- Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and serve food and beverages (if applicable to position).
- Handle cash and process payments using the POS system accurately (if applicable to position).
- Uphold IHOP's commitment to exceptional guest service at all times.
Required Skills
- Ability to work reliably during the 4 AM – 10 AM shift.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene principles (training provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
