Job Description
Are you an avid gamer with a passion for EA Sports titles? Do you thrive in energetic environments and love interacting with fellow fans? Comcast Spectacor is looking for enthusiastic ‘EA Sports Weekend Warriors’ to bring the excitement of virtual sports to life at various events across Philadelphia. This part-time role offers premium pay for Saturday and Sunday shifts, perfect for those looking to supplement their income while doing something they love. You’ll be instrumental in creating memorable gaming experiences, engaging with attendees, and ensuring smooth event operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot EA Sports gaming stations (consoles, TVs, peripherals) at event venues.
- Actively engage with event attendees, facilitating gameplay, organizing mini-tournaments, and answering game-related questions.
- Ensure a fun, inclusive, and competitive atmosphere for all participants.
- Provide basic technical support for gaming equipment, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Represent Comcast Spectacor and EA Sports with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Assist with event logistics, including crowd management and prize distribution.
- Adhere strictly to event schedules, safety protocols, and operational guidelines.
- Break down and pack up equipment efficiently at the conclusion of events.
Required Skills
- Deep passion and knowledge of various EA Sports titles (e.g., FIFA, Madden NFL, NHL).
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting with diverse groups.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, especially in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic technical aptitude for gaming consoles and peripherals.
- Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member.
- Reliable availability to work primarily on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment (up to 25 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in event support, customer service, or a similar public-facing role.
- Familiarity with esports events or competitive gaming communities.
- Experience with AV setup or IT support.
- Prior experience working with a major sports or entertainment brand.
