Job Description
Join Encore Global as a Corporate Event AV Setup Crew member! We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to support the setup, operation, and teardown of audio-visual equipment for corporate events, conferences, and conventions primarily held in hotels and various venues. This role offers exciting travel opportunities within British Columbia and potentially beyond, providing a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same. Key Responsibilities
- Transporting, setting up, and dismantling audio-visual equipment including projectors, screens, microphones, speakers, and lighting rigs.
- Performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance of AV equipment during events.
- Collaborating effectively with event planners, hotel staff, and other crew members to ensure seamless event execution.
- Adhering to safety protocols and company guidelines for equipment handling and site operations.
- Assisting with pre-event preparation, inventory management, and post-event cleanup as required.
- Representing Encore Global professionally and providing excellent customer service on-site.
- Traveling to various event locations as needed, which may include overnight stays.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and willingness to learn about AV equipment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for commuting to our Coquitlam office and local event sites.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in audio-visual setup, stagehand work, or a related field.
- Familiarity with various AV technologies (e.g., sound mixing boards, lighting consoles, video switchers).
- Technical certifications or relevant education in electronics, event technology, or a related discipline.
- A clean driving record.
