Job Description

Join Invacare UK as a Medical Equipment Delivery & Setup Driver, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive their essential medical equipment, including hospital beds, safely and efficiently. This position requires a compassionate, detail-oriented individual with excellent driving skills and a commitment to patient care. You will be responsible for transporting, delivering, and setting up complex medical equipment in various residential and healthcare settings across Coventry and the surrounding areas. Full training on equipment assembly and operation will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport medical equipment, including hospital beds, to various locations.
  • Deliver and install medical equipment in residential homes, hospitals, and care facilities.
  • Provide clear, concise instructions to patients and caregivers on equipment operation and safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on delivery vehicles and equipment.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and electronic records accurately.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Handle equipment with care to prevent damage and ensure proper functionality.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and internal teams.

Required Skills

  • Full UK Driving License (Category B or equivalent)
  • Clean driving record
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment (with assistance as needed)
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment setup
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Enhanced DBS check (will be processed upon offer)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in delivery or logistics, especially with medical equipment
  • Experience in a customer-facing role
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols related to medical equipment handling
