Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently transport patients via wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds to various departments (e.g., admissions, discharge, surgery, imaging).
  • Assist with the movement of medical equipment, supplies, specimens, and patient belongings as required.
  • Ensure all transport equipment is clean, in good working order, and readily available.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with patients, visitors, and staff members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including transport areas and equipment storage.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control procedures.
  • Respond promptly to requests for transport and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Provide basic assistance and comfort to patients during transport.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
