Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Remote Customer Retention Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be the frontline hero responsible for saving accounts that are at risk of cancellation. Your primary objective will be to understand customer concerns, de-escalate situations, and present compelling solutions that reinforce the value of AT&T’s products and services. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while making a significant impact on our customer loyalty and business success. Key Responsibilities

  • Engage proactively with customers who have expressed an intent to cancel their AT&T services.
  • Actively listen to understand the root cause of customer dissatisfaction and identify key pain points.
  • De-escalate challenging customer situations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Present tailored solutions, including alternative service plans, special promotions, or product enhancements, to retain customer accounts.
  • Educate customers on the full value and benefits of their current and potential AT&T services.
  • Accurately document all customer interactions, feedback, and resolutions in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as technical support or sales, to resolve complex issues and ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Achieve and consistently exceed monthly customer retention targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Stay informed about new products, services, and competitive offerings to effectively address customer inquiries.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in customer service, sales, or retention, preferably in a remote setting.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate solutions clearly.
  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Excellent active listening and empathy skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other communication tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing customer needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the telecommunications or subscription-based service industry.
