Job Description
Waste Management is seeking a dedicated and experienced Roll-Off Truck Operator to join our environmental services team in Centennial, Colorado. In this stable full-time position, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a roll-off truck to transport various waste materials and containers to and from customer sites, transfer stations, and landfills. This role requires adherence to all safety regulations, timely completion of routes, and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Roll-Off truck in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any defects or issues.
- Transport and empty roll-off containers at designated disposal sites, ensuring proper documentation.
- Maneuver the truck and containers in tight spaces and challenging environments safely.
- Maintain accurate records of routes, mileage, materials transported, and service rendered.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members regarding schedules and service updates.
- Adhere to all safety standards, environmental regulations, and company operating procedures.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks on the vehicle as needed and report any major mechanical issues promptly.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major infractions.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, climbing, and bending.
- Thorough knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating roll-off trucks or similar heavy refuse vehicles.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with the Centennial, Colorado area and local routes.
