Job Description
We are seeking a talented and intellectually curious individual to join our Think Tank Team on a flexible part-time roster. This unique opportunity allows you to contribute to cutting-edge research, strategic analysis, and thought leadership initiatives without the constraints of a traditional full-time schedule. As a Think Tank Team Member, you will play a crucial role in exploring emerging trends, developing innovative solutions, and shaping insights that inform our strategic direction and client engagements. This hybrid role requires a presence at our Fairfield, IA office for collaborative sessions, combined with the flexibility of remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on assigned topics, including market trends, technological advancements, and socio-economic shifts.
- Contribute to the development of research papers, thought leadership articles, presentations, and internal reports.
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and external partners to gather diverse perspectives and validate findings.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and workshops to generate innovative ideas and strategic recommendations.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of insights to leadership and client teams.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry developments and research methodologies.
- Manage time effectively to meet deadlines for multiple projects on a flexible schedule.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in research, data analysis, or strategic planning (academic or professional).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- High level of intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Political Science, STEM, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in a relevant discipline.
- Experience with advanced research tools or statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python).
- Demonstrated experience in publishing research or thought leadership content.
- Prior experience in consulting or a professional services environment.
- Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
