This is a full-time, on-site position based in Woking, Surrey, designed for individuals with little to no prior experience who are ready to immerse themselves in a fast-paced, high-standard kitchen environment. You will receive comprehensive, hands-on training from our experienced team, learning everything from foundational cooking techniques and ingredient preparation to kitchen safety and hygiene. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Learn and execute basic cooking techniques under supervision, such as boiling, frying, grilling, and baking.
- Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring all equipment and workstations are spotless.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management and rotation.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, communicating effectively with colleagues.
- Actively participate in training sessions and seek opportunities to learn new skills and techniques.
- Follow recipes and production schedules accurately as instructed by the head chef or sous chef.
