Job Description
Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que is seeking a dedicated and energetic Weekend Dining Room Hand to join our team in Shawnee. This part-time position is focused primarily on maintaining the cleanliness and order of our dining area, ensuring a pleasant experience for all guests. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment during peak weekend hours. This role offers the opportunity to earn tips in addition to an hourly wage, recognizing your contribution to our guest’s dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Clear and reset dining tables promptly and efficiently.
- Wipe down tables, chairs, and booths, ensuring all surfaces are clean and sanitized.
- Sweep and mop dining room floors as needed to maintain cleanliness.
- Assist in restocking condiments, napkins, and other table supplies.
- Remove trash and recycling from the dining area.
- Assist kitchen staff with dishwashing or bussing tasks when necessary.
- Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the dining room and adjacent areas.
- Respond to guest inquiries or direct them to appropriate staff members.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Required Skills
- Ability to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Basic understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
