Job Description
Are you a motivated and responsible 14-year-old looking for your first job experience? Applebee’s in Zephyrhills is seeking enthusiastic teens to join our kitchen team as a Dishwasher. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the ropes of a professional kitchen, develop valuable work ethic, and be part of a supportive team. We offer after-school shifts that fit your schedule and the added bonus of free meals during your shift!
Key Responsibilities
- Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently and safely
- Ensure all dishes, utensils, and cookware are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and kitchen throughout shifts
- Assist with basic kitchen prep tasks as needed, such as peeling vegetables or stocking supplies
- Support kitchen staff in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Positive attitude and a team player mindset
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a team-oriented environment (school clubs, sports, etc.) is a plus, but not required
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety practices
