Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Weekend Night Nanny for a private family in Escondido, CA. This part-time, overnight position requires a dedicated professional to provide specialized care for infants or young children during nighttime hours, allowing parents to rest and rejuvenate. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in newborn care, sleep training, and creating a nurturing, safe, and calming environment. This role offers premium pay for exceptional skills and commitment to providing top-tier overnight support on weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive overnight care for infants/children, including feeding, diaper changes, comforting, and soothing.
- Implement age-appropriate sleep training techniques as agreed upon with parents.
- Maintain a detailed log of baby's schedule, including feeding times, diaper changes, sleep patterns, and any notable observations.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized nursery environment.
- Communicate effectively and discreetly with parents regarding the child's well-being and any concerns.
- Be punctual and reliable for all scheduled shifts, typically Friday and Saturday nights.
- Handle any nighttime emergencies calmly and professionally.
- Assist with light nursery duties such as restocking supplies and preparing bottles.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable professional night nanny or newborn care specialist experience.
- Proven expertise in infant care, feeding, and sleep conditioning.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications (infant/child focus).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Discreet, professional, and trustworthy demeanor.
- Clean background check and driving record.
- Legal eligibility to work in the US.
Preferred Qualifications
- Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) certification or equivalent specialized training.
- Experience with multiples (twins, triplets).
- Prior experience in high-profile or high-net-worth households.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Spanish).
