Job Description
Are you a charismatic and detail-oriented individual with a passion for exceptional service? The Veridian Lounge is seeking an enthusiastic Weekend Cocktail Server to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and answer questions regarding drink selections and specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our POS system and relay them to the bar and kitchen staff.
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring compliance with all state and local liquor laws.
- Monitor guest tables to ensure satisfaction, anticipate needs, and promptly respond to requests.
- Handle guest payments accurately, process transactions, and manage change.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of serving areas, ensuring glassware and condiments are stocked.
- Collaborate effectively with bartenders, hosts, and other team members to ensure smooth service operations.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required, including setup and breakdown of service stations.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a high-volume restaurant, bar, or lounge setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
- Proficiency in using POS systems (e.g., Toast, Aloha).
- Must be 18 years or older and able to obtain any required server permits/certifications.
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
- Availability to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings) and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a luxury or fine-dining establishment.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol).
- A passion for mixology and an eagerness to learn about new beverage trends.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus.
