Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as an In-Store Order Taker. In this role, you will be the friendly face of Chick-fil-A, responsible for taking guest orders directly within our restaurant premises. This position strictly involves in-person interactions; no phone orders or calls will be handled. You will ensure a quick, accurate, and pleasant ordering experience for every guest, contributing to our reputation for exceptional service. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders in person.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions and handle cash or card payments.
- Answer guest questions about menu items, ingredients, and promotions.
- Ensure order accuracy and relay specific guest requests to the kitchen team.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and dining area.
- Assist in other front-of-house duties as needed, such as expediting orders or maintaining drink stations.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the guest experience.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role.
- Knowledge of Chick-fil-A menu items.
- Food Handler's Permit (or ability to obtain one upon hire).
