Job Description
Join Microsoft’s dynamic team as a Legal Inquiry Evaluator with a strong focus on legal technology. In this fully remote role, you will be instrumental in analyzing and processing legal inquiries, ensuring compliance with legal standards and internal policies. You will leverage cutting-edge legal tech tools and platforms to streamline workflows, enhance accuracy, and contribute to the efficient resolution of complex legal matters. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced environment. You will be a key contributor to our legal operations, helping to uphold Microsoft’s commitment to legal integrity and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and process a high volume of legal inquiries, subpoenas, and discovery requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Utilize and help optimize legal technology platforms and tools to manage and track inquiry lifecycles.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of legal documents and data to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal legal counsel, privacy teams, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide informed responses.
- Identify trends and potential risks in legal inquiries, contributing to the development of improved processes and best practices.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of all inquiries and resolutions.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with legal tech advancements and regulatory changes.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a legal support role, e-discovery, or legal operations.
- Demonstrated experience with legal technology tools (e.g., e-discovery platforms, case management systems).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and SharePoint.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Paralegal certification or equivalent.
- Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Familiarity with cloud-based legal solutions and data management.
- Project management experience in a legal or tech setting.
- Basic understanding of data privacy principles and regulations.
