Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Pharmaceutical Warehouse Hand to join our dedicated team in Columbus, OH. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the accurate and safe handling, storage, and distribution of pharmaceutical products within our state-of-the-art, temperature-controlled warehouse facility. Your attention to detail will ensure the integrity and quality of medications, contributing directly to patient safety and the efficiency of the healthcare supply chain. This is an on-site position where you will play a vital role in our operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and store incoming pharmaceutical products, verifying quantities against documentation.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specific handling instructions.
- Maintain strict adherence to temperature control protocols for sensitive pharmaceutical products.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) relevant to pharmaceutical handling.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks and ensure proper documentation is completed.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or temperature excursions immediately to management.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, preferably with temperature-controlled products.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) or willingness to be trained and certified.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic computer proficiency for inventory systems.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or healthcare logistics setting.
- Forklift certification.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (WMS).
