Job Description

Join the creative team at Tri-Cities Event Specialists as a Weekend Event Decorator. This part-time, on-site role is perfect for an individual with a keen eye for aesthetics, a passion for design, and a desire to contribute to memorable local events. You will play a vital role in bringing our clients’ visions to life, executing decorative setups, and ensuring every detail is perfectly placed for weddings, corporate functions, private parties, and more, primarily on weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute decorative setups for a variety of events, including but not limited to floral arrangements, lighting installations, table settings, linen placement, and backdrop assembly, following design plans and client specifications.
  • Efficiently unload, unpack, and arrange event decor items at various venues.
  • Collaborate effectively with the event team and on-site staff to ensure timely and seamless setup and teardown processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment during all phases of setup and teardown.
  • Handle all decorative items with care, ensuring they are properly packed, inventoried, and stored after events to prevent damage.
  • Communicate any setup challenges, necessary adjustments, or inventory issues to the event lead promptly.

Required Skills

  • Proven creative flair and an artistic eye for design and decoration.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality execution.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift, carry, and move various decorative items (up to 30 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility, especially for weekend work schedules.
  • Basic problem-solving skills to address on-site adjustments and minor unforeseen issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in event setup, floral design, visual merchandising, or related creative fields.
  • Familiarity with various decorative styles, trends, and event venue layouts in the Tri-Cities area.
  • A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously during busy periods.
