Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled and professional Wedding Musicians to join our exclusive roster for weekend engagements in the Inglewood and greater Los Angeles area. This is a fantastic opportunity for talented instrumentalists and vocalists who are passionate about creating memorable musical atmospheres for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions. Key Responsibilities
- Perform live music during wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions as scheduled.
- Collaborate with De Bois Entertainment's team and wedding planners to understand and execute musical requirements.
- Prepare and rehearse an extensive repertoire suitable for various wedding styles and client requests.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times during engagements.
- Ensure timely arrival and setup/teardown of equipment at event venues.
- Provide own high-quality instrument(s) and necessary sound equipment (e.g., amplifier, microphone, cables) as required.
- Be adaptable and responsive to on-the-spot requests or changes from clients (within reason).
Required Skills
- Demonstrable expertise on a primary instrument (e.g., piano, guitar, violin, saxophone, vocals).
- Extensive repertoire of wedding-appropriate music genres (classical, jazz, contemporary, pop, R&B).
- Strong sight-reading ability and improvisation skills.
- Excellent stage presence and professional demeanor.
- Reliable transportation to various venues across Southern California.
- High level of professionalism and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a musical ensemble.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music Performance or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience performing at weddings or high-end events.
- Ability to play multiple instruments or perform various vocal styles.
- Experience with sound reinforcement and basic audio mixing.
- Portfolio or demo reels showcasing live performance experience.
