Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physiotherapy Aide to join our dynamic team in a private practice setting. This role is crucial in supporting our licensed physical therapists and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. The ideal candidate will assist with patient care, maintain a clean and organized treatment environment, and contribute to a positive and professional atmosphere. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment areas and equipment for patient use, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
  • Assist physical therapists with patient exercises and modalities as directed.
  • Help patients move safely to and from treatment areas, providing support and comfort.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and alert staff when reordering is necessary.
  • Clean and disinfect therapy equipment and treatment rooms after each use.
  • Manage linen services, including laundry and stocking clean linens.
  • Perform light administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling, and filing as needed.
  • Ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for all patients and staff.
  • Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • Empathy and a compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or physical therapy setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Enrollment in a related higher education program (e.g., Kinesiology, Exercise Science).
