Job Description
Are you an energetic and reliable individual who enjoys being active and navigating your local city? DoorDash is looking for enthusiastic Last-Mile Bike Couriers to join our team in Garden Grove, CA. As a Bike Courier, you will be responsible for picking up food and other items from local restaurants and stores and delivering them safely and efficiently to customers’ doorsteps. This role offers flexible hours, allowing you to earn on your schedule while exploring your community on two wheels. You’ll play a crucial role in our mission to deliver convenience and satisfaction, ensuring every delivery is a positive experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport various items (primarily food) from vendors to customers using a bicycle.
- Navigate routes effectively using a smartphone application.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining product quality.
- Communicate proactively with customers and support teams regarding delivery status or issues.
- Handle items with care to prevent damage or spoilage.
Required Skills
- Ability to ride a bicycle safely and confidently.
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with Garden Grove, CA.
- Access to a reliable smartphone with data for the DoorDash app.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Customer-centric attitude and strong communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to lift and carry delivery bags up to 20 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery or customer service roles.
- Knowledge of local shortcuts and traffic patterns in Garden Grove.
- Own a well-maintained bicycle and appropriate safety gear (helmet, lights).
