Job Description
Join Target’s dedicated supply chain team as a Cold Storage Picker! This vital role involves accurately selecting and moving products within our cold storage and freezer environments to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment. We offer premium pay rates for working in challenging freezer conditions and provide all necessary personal protective gear to keep you safe and comfortable. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and prepare customer orders from designated freezer and cold storage locations.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Verify product quantities and ensure items are damage-free before staging for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety standards and procedures.
- Monitor product temperatures and report any discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.
- Work effectively in temperatures ranging from freezing to sub-zero conditions, utilizing provided protective gear.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and accuracy goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to work consistently and safely in cold and freezer environments for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or cold storage environment.
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.
- Familiarity with RF scanners or other inventory management systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
