Job Description
Are you seeking a physically active and rewarding role that offers a great hourly wage? Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in South Burlington, VT, is looking for a motivated and strong individual to join our team as a Tire Warehouse Mover. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys hands-on work. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and preparation of tires within our warehouse. Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload tires from delivery trucks and containers.
- Efficiently move tires to designated storage areas using proper lifting techniques and warehouse equipment.
- Organize and maintain tire inventory, ensuring accurate placement and easy retrieval.
- Prepare tires for shipment, including sorting, staging, and banding as required.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided, certification a plus).
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Perform general warehouse clean-up and maintenance tasks.
Required Skills
- Ability to consistently lift and move heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) throughout the workday.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic communication skills to interact effectively with team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or physically demanding role.
- Forklift certification or experience operating similar warehouse equipment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
