Job Description
Join the Hilton team as a High School Laundry Aide and contribute to providing guests with a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the efficient and careful processing of all hotel linen, ensuring high standards of hygiene and presentation. This is an excellent opportunity for high school students or recent graduates to gain valuable experience in the hospitality sector, develop strong work ethic, and be part of a supportive team. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold all hotel linens, including towels, sheets, and uniforms.
- Operate laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironers, following safety guidelines.
- Inspect linen for stains or damage and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
- Stock linen closets and deliver clean linen to various departments as needed.
- Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Assist with other housekeeping duties as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy laundry bags (up to 25 lbs).
- Capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of English for communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or currently enrolled in high school.
- Prior experience in a hospitality or service-oriented role is a plus, but not required.
