Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Solar Panel Warehouse Aide to join our growing team in Wichita, KS. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the efficient handling, storage, and preparation of solar panels and related equipment within our warehouse facility. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments of solar panels, inverters, racking, and other related components.
- Verify quantities against packing slips and invoices, reporting any discrepancies or damaged goods immediately.
- Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper labeling and accessibility.
- Prepare and package solar panel components and materials for outbound shipments according to project specifications.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (training provided if needed).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to all company safety protocols and OSHA standards.
- Assist with regular inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members, logistics, and project managers to ensure timely material flow.
- Perform general warehouse duties as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly and perform physical tasks.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and record-keeping.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Forklift certification or experience operating similar material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Basic knowledge of solar energy components or the renewable energy industry.
