Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and professional Class A CDL drivers for immediate hire. Key Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently across designated routes.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local driving regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS).
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.
- Safely load, unload, and secure cargo as required, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and submit all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Represent C.R. England professionally at all times.
- Ensure timely and secure delivery of goods.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission (preferred, but not always required depending on specific fleet).
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in long-haul or regional trucking.
- Reefer (Refrigerated) trailer experience.
- Endorsements such as Tanker (N) or Hazardous Materials (H).
