Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Stairwell Sweeper & Mopper to join our facilities team in Northampton. This vital role involves maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of stairwells in various commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to perform physical tasks efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough sweeping and mopping of all stairwells, landings, and associated common areas in commercial buildings.
- Empty and clean waste bins, replacing liners as needed.
- Dust and wipe down railings, ledges, and other surfaces.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues, hazards, or damage observed during shifts.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and company cleaning protocols.
- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Adhere to schedules and maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve daily targets.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, sweeping, and mopping.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Good attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures (training provided).
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance.
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
- Full UK driving license (desirable but not essential).
