Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in classroom instruction and practical behind-the-wheel training.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during the training period.
- Practice safe driving techniques and vehicle operation under supervision.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and pre/post-trip inspection reports.
- Work towards passing the Class A CDL exam.
- Once CDL obtained, safely and efficiently transport freight over long distances.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and maintain communication with dispatch.
- Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Required Skills
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Possess a valid driver's license (non-CDL).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) for the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing).
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with trucking.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role.
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
