Job Description
Join the Walmart team as a Warehouse Associate and play a crucial role in our supply chain operations. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping merchandise efficiently and accurately. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming merchandise, verify accuracy against purchase orders, and report discrepancies.
- Safely and efficiently move merchandise to storage locations using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Pick and pack orders accurately according to customer specifications and established procedures.
- Prepare items for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and maintain it in good working order (training provided).
- Perform inventory counts and assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and accuracy goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance record.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Commitment to safety procedures and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar environment.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment (certification a plus).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
