Job Description
As a Picker Packer at an Amazon Fulfillment Center, you will play a crucial role in our fast-paced environment, helping us delight customers by ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for picking and packing customer orders, operating various equipment, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace. This entry-level position offers comprehensive training and opportunities for advancement within our global network.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using handheld scanners and other equipment.
- Receive and stow inventory, ensuring products are placed in correct locations.
- Inspect products for quality and damage, reporting any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily productivity goals.
- Be prepared to cross-train in multiple areas of the fulfillment center as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects weighing up to 49 pounds.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills for operating handheld devices/scanners.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfillment center, or similar physical labor role.
- Experience with RF (Radio Frequency) scanners or other inventory management systems.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
