Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and adaptable Traveling Pharmacy Technicians to join our dynamic team. This unique role offers the opportunity to provide essential pharmacy services across various CVS Health locations within a designated region, ensuring seamless patient care and operational support. You will play a crucial role in filling prescriptions, managing inventory, and assisting pharmacists, all while experiencing diverse work environments. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Prepare and compound medications as required, adhering to strict safety and quality standards.
- Assist customers with prescription pick-ups, answer basic medication questions, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Operate pharmacy systems and cash registers, processing transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Travel to various CVS Health pharmacy locations within the assigned region as needed.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and company regulations and policies.
- Provide support for administrative tasks as assigned by the Pharmacist-in-Charge.
Required Skills
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification or state registration where required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel extensively within a designated region.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with pharmacy software systems.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multiple pharmacy settings (retail, hospital, long-term care).
- Advanced knowledge of pharmacy operations and pharmaceutical terminology.
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish).
