Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Policy Aide to contribute to our national infrastructure protection efforts. In this pivotal role, you will support the development, analysis, and implementation of cybersecurity policies and strategies aimed at safeguarding critical national assets. You will work within a dynamic team, collaborating with experts to ensure our policy frameworks are robust, current, and effectively address emerging threats. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on national security and infrastructure resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in researching, analyzing, and interpreting cybersecurity policies, regulations, and guidelines from governmental and industry bodies.
  • Support the development and drafting of internal cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures for national infrastructure projects.
  • Contribute to the assessment of existing cybersecurity policies for effectiveness and compliance with evolving threat landscapes and regulatory requirements.
  • Help prepare policy briefs, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity policy considerations into project planning and execution.
  • Monitor relevant legislative and regulatory developments in cybersecurity, particularly those impacting national infrastructure.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination among various departments regarding policy updates and implementations.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Political Science, International Relations, Law, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and national infrastructure sectors.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication, with the ability to articulate complex policy concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with U.S. government cybersecurity policies and directives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CISM, CISSP Associate).
  • Experience working with government agencies or in the defense sector.
  • Knowledge of critical infrastructure sectors (e.g., energy, transportation, water, communications).
  • Previous experience in policy analysis or development.
