Job Description
Join Capgemini as a Google Cybersecurity Analyst specializing in remote security operations. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in protecting our clients’ digital assets by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents within Google Cloud environments and other platforms. You will apply your expertise in threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response, ensuring robust security posture for distributed systems. This position is 100% remote, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a leading global firm from anywhere within the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and other security tools.
- Perform incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on GCP infrastructure and applications.
- Implement and manage security configurations in GCP, ensuring compliance with security policies and industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into development and operations workflows.
- Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies, particularly within the Google ecosystem.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) security services (e.g., Security Command Center, Cloud Logging, IAM).
- Strong understanding of security principles, including network security, endpoint security, and data protection.
- Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
- Demonstrated experience in incident response and threat analysis.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification.
- Experience with other public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
