Job Description

As an IKEA Kitchen Door Fitter specializing in final cabinet finishes, you will be responsible for the precise and high-quality installation of kitchen cabinet doors and related components, ensuring a flawless and aesthetically pleasing result. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong understanding of carpentry, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. You will work directly with customers and project managers to ensure all installations meet IKEA’s rigorous standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute precise installation of kitchen cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and associated hardware according to design specifications and IKEA guidelines.
  • Perform final adjustments to ensure perfect alignment, spacing, and smooth operation of all installed components.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks to identify and correct any imperfections or issues before project completion.
  • Interact professionally with customers, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring their complete satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site installation challenges effectively and efficiently.
  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and documentation related to installations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in cabinet or kitchen installation, with a focus on finish carpentry.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools common to carpentry and installation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and precision.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation manuals.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience specifically with IKEA kitchen systems (SEKTION).
  • Certification or vocational training in carpentry, cabinetry, or a related trade.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing service role.
