Job Description
As an IKEA Kitchen Door Fitter specializing in final cabinet finishes, you will be responsible for the precise and high-quality installation of kitchen cabinet doors and related components, ensuring a flawless and aesthetically pleasing result. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong understanding of carpentry, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. You will work directly with customers and project managers to ensure all installations meet IKEA’s rigorous standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute precise installation of kitchen cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and associated hardware according to design specifications and IKEA guidelines.
- Perform final adjustments to ensure perfect alignment, spacing, and smooth operation of all installed components.
- Conduct thorough quality checks to identify and correct any imperfections or issues before project completion.
- Interact professionally with customers, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring their complete satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site installation challenges effectively and efficiently.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and documentation related to installations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in cabinet or kitchen installation, with a focus on finish carpentry.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools common to carpentry and installation.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and precision.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation manuals.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience specifically with IKEA kitchen systems (SEKTION).
- Certification or vocational training in carpentry, cabinetry, or a related trade.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing service role.
