Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Apple Information Specialist with a strong focus on digital data management to join our remote team. This is a 100% remote position. As an integral part of our digital operations, you will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and securing data within Apple ecosystems and related platforms. You will serve as a key resource for information governance, data integrity, and specialized technical support pertaining to Apple products and services used across our enterprise. Your expertise will ensure our digital data assets are well-organized, accessible, and compliant with best practices and regulatory standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to data security and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain digital data assets across Apple devices and associated cloud services (e.g., iCloud, Apple Business Manager).
- Implement and monitor data governance policies and procedures specific to Apple platforms.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for Apple hardware and software issues with a focus on data integrity and recovery.
- Assist in the development and deployment of data management strategies for Apple-centric environments.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) for all Apple-related data.
- Conduct regular data audits and generate reports on data usage, security, and storage efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to enhance data protection measures and incident response protocols.
- Educate users on best practices for data handling, backup, and security within the Apple ecosystem.
- Stay current with the latest Apple technologies, data management tools, and security trends.
Required Skills
- Expertise in Apple operating systems (macOS, iOS) and associated applications.
- Proven experience with data management, backup, and recovery strategies.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, specifically iCloud and enterprise cloud solutions.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and compliance best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) certification.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions for Apple devices (e.g., Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, AppleScript) for automation.
- Experience in a digital data analysis or information governance role.
- Experience working in a large enterprise or IT consulting environment.
