Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Think Tank Analyst to join our strategic research team in Jersey City. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact research, analysis, and thought leadership that informs critical business and policy decisions within a leading global financial institution. The ideal candidate will possess strong research capabilities, exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for understanding complex economic, market, and geopolitical trends. You will work Monday-Friday, adhering to standard business hours with no scheduled overtime, fostering a predictable and balanced work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on a wide range of economic, financial, and policy topics.
- Develop comprehensive reports, presentations, and briefings that synthesize complex information into actionable insights for internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Utilize quantitative and qualitative methodologies to evaluate market trends, policy impacts, and strategic opportunities.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and cross-functional teams to define research agendas and methodologies.
- Monitor global events and market developments, providing timely updates and assessments.
- Present research findings clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Contribute to the firm’s thought leadership initiatives, including white papers and publications.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in research, data analysis, or economic analysis.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in report writing and presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Public Policy, International Relations, or a related quantitative field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
- Experience with statistical software packages (e.g., R, Python, SAS, Stata).
- Familiarity with financial markets, instruments, and regulatory environments.
- Previous experience in a think tank, consulting firm, or financial services research department.
