Job Description
Ulta Beauty is seeking a meticulous and organized Salon Inventory Clerk to join our team in San Jose, CA. In this part-time organizational role, you will be crucial in maintaining accurate inventory levels for all salon products, tools, and supplies. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to efficiency will support our salon operations, ensuring our stylists have everything they need to deliver exceptional service to our guests. This role requires someone who is proactive, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced retail and salon environment. The position is on-site at our San Jose location.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming salon product deliveries with precision.
- Organize and stock salon products, tools, and supplies in designated areas, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO).
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies to maintain data accuracy.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using our internal management system.
- Assist in preparing orders for new stock based on current inventory levels and anticipated salon needs.
- Monitor product expiration dates and manage damaged or expired stock according to company policy.
- Ensure all salon storage areas are clean, organized, and easily accessible to authorized personnel.
- Collaborate effectively with salon management and stylists to anticipate product requirements and ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and inventory tracking.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail or salon inventory management.
- Familiarity with inventory software or point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- A genuine passion for the beauty industry and its diverse range of products.
