Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Banker to join our team in Ponderosa Park, Sunnyvale, CA. This is a direct hire opportunity, offering stability and growth within one of America’s leading financial institutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately, identifying customer needs, and offering suitable banking products and services. You will play a crucial role in building strong customer relationships and contributing to the overall success of the branch.
Key Responsibilities
- Process a variety of customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
- Identify customer financial needs and recommend appropriate Wells Fargo products and services, such as checking accounts, savings accounts, credit cards, and loans.
- Open new accounts and complete necessary documentation with precision and attention to detail.
- Resolve customer inquiries and issues with professionalism and a commitment to first-call resolution.
- Educate customers on digital banking solutions and self-service options.
- Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Actively participate in branch sales activities and meet individual and team goals.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge across all banking services.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive and productive branch environment.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or sales role within a retail, banking, or financial services environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash and financial transactions.
- Proven ability to identify customer needs and present solutions effectively.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with banking software.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish, Mandarin, or other languages prevalent in the community).
- Previous experience as a Teller or Personal Banker.
- Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance.
