Job Description

Join Pfizer’s dynamic Clinical Research team in Dallas as a Research Nurse specializing in Clinical Trials. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in the execution of clinical research protocols, ensuring the safety and well-being of study participants while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of research data. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge medical advancements within a world-renowned pharmaceutical company. You will work closely with investigators, study coordinators, and other healthcare professionals to manage all aspects of participant care within the clinical trial framework, from screening and enrollment to ongoing monitoring and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, screen, and enroll eligible participants into clinical trials according to protocol requirements and ethical guidelines.
  • Perform clinical assessments, administer investigational products, and monitor participants for adverse events.
  • Collect and record accurate study data, ensuring compliance with GCP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Educate participants and their families about the clinical trial process, study procedures, potential risks, and benefits.
  • Manage and coordinate participant appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits.
  • Maintain precise and thorough documentation of all research activities, including source documents and electronic data capture systems.
  • Collaborate with principal investigators, study coordinators, pharmacists, and other research staff to ensure smooth trial operations.
  • Respond to study-related queries and participate in monitoring visits and audits.
  • Ensure strict adherence to patient confidentiality and ethical standards throughout the trial.
  • Assist in the development and review of study-related materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Required Skills

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, disease processes, and pharmacology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and data entry systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Certification in Clinical Research (e.g., CCRP, CCRC).
  • Prior experience in clinical research or clinical trials.
  • Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and ICH guidelines.
  • Experience with various therapeutic areas relevant to Pfizer's pipeline.
