Job Description

As a Remote Apple Privacy Analyst with an Information Security focus, you will play a critical role in safeguarding user data and ensuring compliance across Google’s products and services that interact with the Apple ecosystem. This position involves deep analysis of privacy implications, risk assessments, and collaboration with product, engineering, and security teams to implement robust privacy-by-design principles. You will be responsible for understanding Apple’s privacy frameworks and policies, assessing their impact on our offerings, and driving initiatives to enhance our privacy posture. This is a 100% remote position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive privacy impact assessments (PIAs) for new features, products, and services involving Apple platforms and user data.
  • Analyze data flows and processing activities to ensure adherence to privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal policies within the Apple ecosystem context.
  • Collaborate with Information Security teams to identify and mitigate privacy risks, integrating privacy controls into security architectures.
  • Monitor changes in Apple's privacy policies, operating system features, and industry best practices to provide proactive guidance and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain privacy documentation, including data maps, privacy notices, and consent mechanisms relevant to Apple users.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to product development, legal, and marketing teams on privacy-by-design principles for Apple-centric initiatives.
  • Assist in responding to data subject access requests and privacy-related incidents, ensuring timely and compliant resolutions.
  • Conduct privacy training and awareness programs for relevant stakeholders on Apple privacy requirements and information security best practices.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in privacy analysis, data protection, or information security roles.
  • Strong understanding of global privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and similar frameworks.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Apple's privacy features, frameworks (e.g., App Tracking Transparency, Sign In with Apple), and ecosystem policies.
  • Experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
  • Familiarity with information security principles, technologies, and risk management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Law, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPT).
  • Information security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+).
  • Experience with privacy engineering or implementing privacy-enhancing technologies.
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Prior experience working with large-scale data systems or cloud environments.
