Key Responsibilities
- Execute laboratory experiments and procedures under supervision, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Prepare reagents, media, and samples accurately for experimental use.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Record experimental data meticulously in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
- Perform basic data analysis and report findings to senior scientists.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
- Assist with inventory management of laboratory supplies and reagents.
- Adhere to all quality control and assurance procedures.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to scientific discussions.
- Continuously learn new techniques and scientific concepts relevant to ongoing projects.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong interest in science, particularly biology, chemistry, or related fields.
- Excellent attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new laboratory techniques and procedures.
- Ability to follow strict safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field).
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting (academic or industrial), even if limited to coursework.
- Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
