Job Description
Are you a night owl looking for a rewarding role in hospitality? Premier Inn is seeking a dedicated and reliable Night Porter to join our vibrant team in Southport. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity, as full training will be provided to ensure you have all the skills needed to excel. As a Night Porter, you will be the heart of our hotel during the quiet hours, ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests, handling late check-ins and early check-outs, and managing general hotel operations overnight. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the hotel's security and safety during night hours, including regular patrols and monitoring CCTV.
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs, processing payments and providing a warm welcome.
- Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Prepare basic continental breakfast items and set up breakfast areas as required.
- Perform light cleaning duties in public areas to maintain hotel standards.
- Complete night audit procedures and prepare reports for the morning shift.
- Respond to emergency situations and follow hotel procedures effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organised reception and lobby area.
- Support the morning team with handover and preparatory tasks.
- Ensure all hotel policies and procedures are adhered to.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic computer literacy.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in busy or unexpected situations.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (not essential as full training is provided).
- Knowledge of basic first aid (training can be provided).
- Flexibility to work various night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
