Job Description
Sutter Health is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Mobile Home Health Aides. In this vital role, you will provide essential personal care and support services to patients in their homes throughout the Sacramento area. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide medication reminders and assist with self-administration as per care plan.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks relevant to patient care, such as tidying patient areas and laundry.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
- Monitor and report changes in patient's health status or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided and patient observations.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, as well as company policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid California Driver's License.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and patience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification in California.
- Previous experience (1+ year) in a home healthcare or direct patient care setting.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
