Job Description
Are you an independent and reliable individual with your own cargo van? Amazon Logistics is seeking motivated Independent Couriers in the Downtown Durham, NC area to join our network of delivery partners. This is an excellent opportunity for self-starters to manage their own routes, set their own schedules, and earn competitive compensation by delivering Amazon packages to our valued customers. You will be operating as an independent contractor, responsible for your vehicle, fuel, and all operational costs, while benefiting from the high volume and stable demand of Amazon deliveries. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload packages from your cargo van.
- Navigate predetermined routes within the Downtown Durham and surrounding areas, ensuring timely delivery.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service during all interactions.
- Utilize Amazon's delivery app for route optimization, package scanning, and delivery confirmation.
- Report any delivery issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Manage your own schedule and vehicle maintenance.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ownership of a cargo van (e.g., Sprinter, Transit, ProMaster) in good working condition.
- Proof of commercial auto insurance.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with smartphone applications and GPS navigation.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as an independent contractor or courier.
- Knowledge of the Downtown Durham, NC area.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
