Job Description

The City of Woodstock Parks and Recreation Department is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Dog Park Cleanup Crew. This vital role involves maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our local dog parks, ensuring they remain welcoming environments for all users. Key Responsibilities
- Regularly patrol designated dog park areas to collect and dispose of pet waste and litter.
- Empty and sanitize waste receptacles within the dog parks.
- Monitor park grounds for any hazards or maintenance needs and report them to the supervisor.
- Assist with minor upkeep tasks such as raking leaves or smoothing disturbed ground.
- Ensure park rules signage is visible and in good condition.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with park visitors.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform duties requiring bending, stooping, and walking for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from assigned dog park locations.
- A genuine love for animals and an understanding of dog park etiquette.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, park maintenance, or similar outdoor work.
- Familiarity with Woodstock's park system.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
