Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Beverage Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team in the Thornton area. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy active work. As a Beverage Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of various beverage products to our valued customers located in the local suburbs. You will be a critical link in our supply chain, ensuring products reach their destinations promptly while upholding our commitment to exceptional customer service. This is a high-activity role requiring physical stamina and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial delivery vehicle to transport beverages to designated customer locations.
- Efficiently load and unload delivery trucks, which may involve lifting heavy cases and using hand trucks or pallet jacks.
- Navigate routes in local suburban areas, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Verify order accuracy with customers and obtain necessary signatures.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any delivery-related inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and maintain cleanliness.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Manage delivery paperwork and electronic logs accurately.
- Collaborate with dispatch and warehouse teams to optimize delivery schedules and resolve issues.
Required Skills
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent for vehicle type.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Proven ability to lift and move heavy items repeatedly (up to 50 lbs individually, and handle heavier loads with equipment).
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math skills for verifying invoices and inventory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a delivery driver, preferably in beverage or food distribution.
- Familiarity with local Thornton and surrounding suburban routes.
- Experience operating hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other delivery equipment.
- High school diploma or GED.
